Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

At MicTask.dev("we", "us", "the App"), we value and respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our service, both on the web and in the MicTask app for iOS.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: when you sign up we collect your email address and basic name to identify your account. You can sign up with an email and password, with Google, or — in the iOS app — with Sign in with Apple. If you choose Apple's Hide My Email option, we only ever receive the relay address Apple gives us, never your real one.
  • Your voice notes:in the iOS app you record them with your device's microphone, which we only access while you are recording. Through the Telegram bot they are the audio messages you send it. In both cases the audio is processed to transcribe it and extract tasks.
  • Interaction data: we collect your Telegram user ID when you link the bot, so we can associate the messages you send with your account.
  • Payment data: if you subscribe on the web, your card details are processed securely and exclusively by Stripe. If you subscribe in the iOS app, the purchase is handled by Apple and we receive confirmation of it through RevenueCat. We never store or have access to your card details in either case.

2. How we use your information

We use your information exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Providing, operating, and maintaining MicTask's core service.
  • Transcribing your audio using advanced AI models and turning it into structured tasks.
  • Creating the resulting tasks directly in your connected Notion workspace.
  • Processing payments and subscriptions securely, and knowing which plan you have.
  • Sending you transactional emails (e.g. welcome messages, billing updates, or usage-limit notices).

3. Third-party services and data sharing

For MicTask to work, we rely on leading industry providers. We share only the minimum data strictly necessary with the following providers:

  • Database and authentication: secure database hosting and account management.
  • Speech and language AI: voice-to-text transcription and turning that text into structured tasks. Audio is sent securely over an API and is not used to train these providers' public models.
  • Notion: through explicit OAuth permissions, the app sends processed data to the Notion databases you authorize.
  • Telegram: messaging infrastructure that serves as an alternative interface, which you connect yourself.
  • Apple: if you subscribe in the iOS app, Apple processes the purchase and tells us it happened. Apple does not share your payment details with us.
  • RevenueCat: manages App Store subscriptions on our behalf and tells our servers which plan is active. We identify you to it with your MicTask account identifier — an internal identifier, not your email — so that the purchase reaches the right account.
  • Stripe: secure payment processing on the web, which handles checkout directly.
  • Transactional email: delivery of the emails we send you.
  • Product analytics: usage analytics and dashboard session recordings, hosted in the European Union. Until you accept analytics cookies this runs in cookieless mode, which stores nothing on your device — see our Cookie Policy.
  • Hosting and queueing: serving the site, queueing each voice note for processing, and short-lived rate-limiting keys.

For the full picture — legal bases, international transfers, retention and your rights under the GDPR — see our GDPR page.

4. Data retention and protection

Your audio is not kept. It is uploaded, transcribed, and the original file is deleted from our storage once the job has been processed — whether it came from the iOS app or from Telegram.

Of the transcription we keep only an excerpt, never the full text: enough for you to recognise a note in your history. We also store the tasks we extracted (titles and Notion URLs) so you can review your activity from the Dashboard and from the app.

On your device, the iOS app stores voice notes that could not be sent yet — with no connection, for instance — so that they are not lost. They are deleted as soon as they are sent, and everything the app has stored about you locally is deleted when you delete your account.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, update, or request deletion of your personal information. You can revoke MicTask's access to your Notion account or unlink your Telegram account at any time from the Dashboard settings.

You can delete your account yourself, from the Dashboard on the web and from Settings in the iOS app. Deleting it removes your data from our systems. If you subscribed through the App Store, remember to cancel the subscription from your Apple Account settings as well: deleting the account does not cancel it, because only Apple can.
